Cameron Park Zoo
One will find a great variety of species co-existing in this state-of-the-art natural zoo complex. Some of the featured exhibits
include vultures, African lions, White Handed Gibbons, a herpetarium, Sumatran Tigers, giraffes and the co-inhabitants of their natural native region, elephants, lemurs, Texas barnyard animals, and much more. The
zoo is also active in the area of conservationm through its participation in the Species Survival Plan.

 East Terrace
A classic example of Italian Villa architecture

 Lake Waco
Lake Waco, a man-made lake completed in 1964, covers 7,240 acres with 60 miles of shoreline and is host to six parks. It provides attractions and recreation
such as camping, fishing, golf, rowing, sailing and swimming.
Lions Park
Lions Park, located at 1716 N 42nd St., provides entertain-ment
for all ages through miniature golf, bumper boats, kid-dieland

Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas
Modeled after the character of King Solomons Temple, the
Masonic Grand Lodge displays artifacts and exhibits that tell
the story of Freemasonry in Texas under leaders such as Sam

 The Dr Pepper Museum and Free Enterprise Institute
The Museum building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and
is an example of a unique style of turn-of-the-century architecture. Students will see the effects of the 1953 Waco tornado in a specially produced video,
explore the depths of an abandoned well, and investigate other secret places in the Museum. The cost is $3.00 per student, with a maximum of 30 students
per group. The fee includes admission to the Museum and a sample-size fountain treat.

 Ollie Mae Moen Discovery Center
From teepees to the wonder of electricity, the Ollie Mae Moen
Discovery Center, located at 220 S. 4th St. (entrance on Third

Red Men Museum & Library
The Red Men Museum and Library, located at 4521 Speight
Ave., exhibits artifacts of historical significance from a water
color picture by Adolf Hitler to a Colt 45 belonging to the

Spirit of the Rivers
A true sternwheeler that provides cruises daily through downtown Waco, Baylor University, Cameron Park, and more of the most
scenic parts of Waco. Narrated daily excursions usually last about two hours. They also offer a weekend/brunch cruise and sunset dinner cruises.
Strecker Museum
The Strecker Museum, located on the Baylor University campus
in the Sid Richardson Building, is the oldest and continuously
operated natural history and cultural museum in Texas.

 Suspension Bridge and Riverwalk
Now for foot traffic only, this historic suspension bridge spans the Brazos River.
The bridge was the first to cross the river, making the wagon and rail travel across this natural boundary possible, and was built beginning in 1866. One can
take a walking tour of the bridge and enjoy the views, or take advantage of the Riverwalk below --a network of walking and jogging trails that meander along the banks of the Brazos River.
 Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum
Displaying an exceptional collection of guns, Indian artifacts and early Texas memorabilia, the Texas
Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, located at Fort Fisher on Interstate 35 and University Parks Drive, is dedicated to preserving the history of this legendary
